Stargazing SUP and Kayak Tour

Service Description

Paddle the calm waters on a Cascade Lake by the light of the moon and stars. The quietness of the night will be enhanced with the sounds of nature as you paddle. Your guide will point out celestial bodies of the night sky and the natural environment that emerges from the night. Below are the highlighted Night Sky Events and Tour Dates for the 2023: August 1: Full Moon- First Super Moon of the summer August 12: Perseids Meteor Shower - Visual Peak August 13: Perseids Meteor Shower August 19: New Moon August 26: Waxing Gibbous (50%) August 30: Full Moon- Blue Super Moon - Second Super Moon of summer August 31: Full Moon- Blue Super Moon - Second Super Moon of summer October 6: Waning Crescent (50%) October 7: Waning Crescent (50%) October 8: Draconids Meteor Shower- Visual Peak WHAT'S INCLUDED: -A professional, knowledgeable, medically trained, friendly kayak guide -Transportation to the river (pickup and drop off at the Westfir Lodge) -A commitment to make the trip safe, exciting, and informative -Paddle Distance: 2 miles -Flat, calm water paddle -Gear (pfd, paddle, kayak or stand up paddle board) WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED (RECOMMENDED) -Closed toed and secured sneakers or booties -Waterproof rain jacket or splash jacket -Warm wool or fleece top (October) -Warm hat and gloves (October) -Sunhat -Glasses with croakies or strap -Knee braces (if needed) -Camera -Gratuity for your guide

Cancelation Policy

Fully refundable up until 7 days prior to your date. At this time, the tour is 100% non-refundable. If the tour minimum has not been met, we will alert guests 48 hours before the tour in order to re-schedule or cancel the tour. Cascades Outdoor Center reserves the right to change or cancel a reservation if the tour minimums are not met. All of our tours will run rain or shine. There will be no refunds for weather conditions. Cascades Outdoor Center will make the determination to conduct or cancel trips with your safety in mind. If the trip needs to be cancelled due to conditions (temps, thunderstorms, smoke etc.), there will be no refund. We will: Work with you to reschedule your event or hold your payment on file for another tour date.
